Determining which airlines are the best airlines for cheap flights can be a difficult quest. There's so lots of airlines that offer cheap fares that it is difficult to narrow down the list to come up with the best airlines. There's a few considerations that must be looked at when talking about the best airlines for cheap flights. The ideal airlines would offer cheap flights that are reasonable, that are not loaded down with hidden costs & that treat their passengers to great customer service.

If the best airlines had to be named it would must be those airlines that have found the middle ground between cheap flights while still making the passenger feel as if flying was an event. A nice airline that provides both service & cheap flights is US Airways, who are continually ranked high among flyers. Another nice airline that has found a way to provide affordable flights without cutting back on services is Northwest Airlines. From the ticketing agents to the flight attendants - everyone is courteous.

Airlines have generally taken a nose dive in the customer service arena. Flying used to be an adventure. A lot of attention was paid to the passenger's comfort. The airlines were accommodating. Today it is not the same scene. Airlines are not accommodating any more. Passenger comfort is not top priority. The attitude of the airlines seems to be - you pay for what you get. The airlines send out the signal that they are doing the passengers a favor by providing cheap flights & therefore the customers should not expect anything else in the way of comfort or courtesy. Paying for a cheap flight should not exclude customer service.

Another great airline that offers great service no matter how affordable your fare is American Airlines; they have found a way to provide affordable flights, maintain their customer service orientation & not nickel & dime the passengers to death. American Airlines planes are well kept & the flight staff is friendly & accommodating. It seems American Airlines realizes that even if the affordable flights brings the passengers aboard the plane, bringing them back a second time is contingent on the experience they have during the flight.

When you are looking to save funds on your airfare, don't assume that going with the same airline every time that you fly is the most economical of practices. There's lots of lesser known airlines out there that provide great service, great rates, & an abundance of flights to pick from. By trying out other airlines, not going with a national chain that is well-known, you can oftentimes save hundreds of dollars on your stool. & do not concern yourself about the safety of smaller airlines anymore than you would when flying with the "big guys"; airlines all operate under the same safety regulations that are set out by the government - which means that smaller airlines are as safe (& sometimes safer) than their bigger competitors - & often offer cheaper fares.
