Located in the department of Ancash, the Cordillera Blanca, held to be the Peruvian mountain climbing capital, rears up on the eastern flank of the Santa River Valley, in the Callejón de Huaylas valley. The mountain chain features the largest number of spectacularly beautiful peaks in the country including Mount Huascaran.

ITINERARY:

Day 01 : Transfer Huaraz / Musho / Base Camp Huascaran.

Early in the morning after to breakfast in our Hotel, we'll be transfered to Musho the trail head in private bus, where we will meet our donkey drivers to transport our equipment until the base camp. From Musho we will go-up for about 4 hours aprox until base camp. Overnight camping

Day 02 : Base Camp / Moraine Camp / Camp (1).

To continue with our itineraries, we'll start rock climbing until the moraine (4900 masl) 3 hours aprox, with the help of the porters, amd we will rest join to glacier, after we prepare to walk on the glacier until the camp 1 (5100masl) overnight camping

Day 03 : Camp (1) / Canaleta / Camp (2).

Early in the morning we leave to pass the cerax (avalanches) this part will be the difficult part, the we will arrive to the Camp 2, we are going to stay almost all day in the camp 2 (6000 masl) to prepare to reach the summit the next day; overnight camping in the glacier

Day 04 : Camp (2) / Summit / Camp (2).

This day we have to get-up at 1 am, aprox to start climbing, so we we'll have the best conditions of the snow, we'll get the summit between 8-10 am. Aprox, after a short rest, we'll come back using the same path we marked until the Camp 2, before the snow gets soft, overnight in the glacier

Day 05 : Camp (2) / Camp (1) / base Camp.

We'll start walking down early to the base camp always watching up the avalanches; it will take us for about 5 - 6 hours going down. Overnight Camping

Day 06 : Base Camp / Musho / Huaraz

We will came back to musho, where our private bus will be waiting to take us to Huaraz, overnight Hotel Huaraz.
